Yunnan province, located in temperate zone, has the natural advantages of low building energy consumption and abundant renewable energy, making it an ideal area for the development of nearly zero energy buildings, but it currently lacks engineering practice and technical system support. Taking a steel structure prefabricated type nearly zero energy office building in Qujing as the research object, through technologies such as high-performance envelope structure, non-thermal bridge design, and comprehensive utilization of renewable energy, the synergistic path of passive energy saving and active production capacity suitable for temperate zone is explored. According to the measured data of the project, the energy-saving rate of the building itself reaches 51.44%, the contribution rate of renewable energy reaches 100%, and the annual carbon emission reduction is expected to be about 2.2 t. This study verifies the compatibility of steel structure prefabricated type technology with the goal of nearly zero energy buildings, and forms a technical route suitable for temperate zone, providing a practical reference for carbon peaking in the construction sector in Yunnan province.
